Rare 1948 Jacques Fath Beaded Chantilly Lace Dress Gown
About the Item
French designer, Jacques Fath has been called the "Couturier's Couturier" and was considered one of the greatest couturiers of the 1950's. He was known for his outstanding opulent high fashion designs and luxurious eveningwear. Unfortunately, his career was cut short in 1954 when he died of lukemia. Thus, his haute couture fashions were limited and rare.
Jacques Fath circa 1948 off white beaded chantilly lace floral pattern with bias side kickpleat. Features shoulder straps, sweethart neckline with boned interior. Side zipper closure. lined. A tiny bit of stretch in skirt.
Condition: very good; some small holes in net underslip which does not affect wearability.
Bust: 34-36"; waist: 26 1/2"; hips: 35"; length: approx 59"
